STAMFORD DEMOCRAT LORELL GUYDON RECEIVES DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP AWARD

September 15, 2006   Hartford

On Friday, September 15 Stamford’s Lorell Guydon was honored by The Connecticut Democratic State Central Committee with a “Democratic Women Leadership Award.” Democrats traveled to the state capitol to pay tribute to the volunteers that make it possible for Democrats to win elections.  Guydon shared a stage with ten other women, including Mary Messina Glassman, the Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor.

As a volunteer, Guydon has been an important part of Stamford’s success for many years. According to Ellen Camhi, Stamford Democratic Party Chairwoman, “There are very few people who can keep smiles on their faces while completing many of the tasks that a campaign requires. Lorell has a smile on her face no matter what she is doing. I am thrilled that she received recognition for her efforts.”

Lorell has been active in her “neighborhood revitalization zone,” publishing a regular newsletter. She is active throughout the community in many organizations and at her church. You can be sure that when a Stamford Democratic candidate needs help, Lorell Guydon will be there giving generously of her time.
